Feitian Dessert Bar

Ningbo – ChinaHospitality

The concept of the front porch serves as a buffer zone before entering a premise or a home. This was the driving idea behind the design of Feitian Desserts, as it sits on the first floor of Nordic Books, a lifestyle establishment dedicated to the promotion and sharing of cultural values. The dessert bar serves as an invitation to guests of the premise, offering a borderless indoor-outdoor dining/drinking experience, and creating a natural transition between the street level and the seating area.

The interior concept of Feitian Desserts combines references to traditional French bistros and aesthetic inspiration from contemporary Nordic bars and lounges.

A simple color palette of pastel lime walls and warm-toned upholstery allows the textural nuances of the materials to shine. The use of greenery as an architectural element in the space reenforces the concept of a boundless indoor-outdoor space, and the two-sided window sill seating redefines the window threshold as an opening instead of a divider.
