Noodle Story – Corner Table
Since the first Noodle Story we designed, warmth and togetherness have always been central to our design approach. For the newest Noodle Story restaurant in downtown Helsinki, we continued this exploration by creating a space that encourages people to gather, share, and slow down together.
Inspired by the atmosphere of cozy yet vivid Asian alleyways, the design draws from the social energy of neighborhood eateries and street corners, where food naturally brings people together.
At the heart of the restaurant sits an over-two-meter-long communal table, encouraging shared dining and spontaneous interaction. Bespoke seating designed by Yatofu is placed throughout the space, offering a variety of ways to gather, dine, and connect.
Warm timber surfaces, tactile materials, and soft lighting create a welcoming contrast to the pace of the surrounding city. More than a restaurant, Gathering Corner aims to become a small urban refuge — a place where people can pause, connect, and enjoy everyday moments together.
